Privacy Policy
1. Overview
Risk Reward Trading Journal is a trading journal and performance-analysis app. It helps users record trades and review trading statistics such as risk reward ratio, winrate, net R gain, profit factor, average win, average loss, weekday performance, direction performance, and setup performance.
The current version of the app is designed to work locally on your device. The app does not create user accounts, does not connect to a broker, does not place trades, does not provide market signals, and does not provide investment advice.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.
2. Information You Enter in the App
You may choose to enter trade journal information such as:
- setup names
- trade dates
- close times
- long or short direction
- stop loss risk units
- take profit risk units
- manual exit risk units
- trade outcomes
- notes
- imported trade data
- calculated trading statistics
This information is stored locally on your device. ClearEdgeTools does not automatically receive, collect, transmit, access, sell, or share this information.
3. Data Collection by the App
The current version of Risk Reward Trading Journal does not collect personal data through the app.
The app does not use:
- user accounts or login systems
- analytics SDKs
- advertising SDKs
- crash reporting SDKs
- tracking technologies
- broker connections
- cloud synchronization
- remote servers operated by ClearEdgeTools
- location services
- contacts, camera, microphone, SMS, call logs, or similar sensitive permissions
The app does not request internet access.
If advertising, analytics, cloud sync, accounts, broker connections, or other data-related features are added in a future version, this Privacy Policy and the Google Play data disclosures will be updated before those features are released.
4. CSV Import and Export
The app includes CSV import and export features.
When you export trades, the app creates a CSV file in a location selected by you through Android's system file picker. ClearEdgeTools does not receive the exported file.
When you import trades, the app reads only the file or files that you explicitly select through Android's system file picker. Imported data is stored locally in the app.
If you save, upload, send, or share exported CSV files through another app, email provider, cloud service, file manager, or other third-party service, that third party may process the file according to its own privacy policy. You are responsible for protecting exported files, especially if they contain private trading notes or other sensitive information.
5. Support Emails
If you contact ClearEdgeTools by email, your email address and the contents of your message will be used to respond to your request, provide support, and keep a record of the communication if needed.
Support emails are not used for advertising or sold to third parties.
6. Data Sharing
ClearEdgeTools does not share app journal data with third parties because the app does not automatically collect or transmit that data.
Data may only leave your device if you choose to export or share it yourself, or if you contact ClearEdgeTools by email.
7. Local Storage and Security
Trade journal data is stored locally on your device using app storage. Android app data backup is disabled for this app.
No method of electronic storage is perfectly secure. You should protect access to your device and handle exported CSV files carefully.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Trade journal data remains on your device until you delete it.
You can delete individual trades in the History tab. You can also use the clear all option in the History tab to delete all trades from the app. Uninstalling the app or clearing app storage will remove the app's locally stored data, subject to your device's operating system behavior.
Exported CSV files are separate files. Deleting data inside the app does not automatically delete CSV files that you previously exported. You can delete exported files manually using your device's file manager or the app or service where you saved them.

Risk Reward Trading Journal is provided for journaling, recordkeeping, and performance analysis only.
The app does not provide financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, trading signals, broker services, portfolio management, or recommendations to buy, sell, hold, or trade any financial instrument.
All trading decisions, risk management decisions, and financial outcomes are your own responsibility. Trading and investing involve risk, including the possible loss of capital.
10. Children's Privacy
Risk Reward Trading Journal is intended for adults and is not directed to children. ClearEdgeTools does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Third-Party Services
The current version of the app does not include third-party advertising, analytics, tracking, broker, payment, or social networking services.
The app is distributed through Google Play. Google may process information related to app downloads, purchases, device compatibility, security, reviews, crash information, store operation, and developer account administration according to Google's own privacy policy and terms.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
ClearEdgeTools may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If the app's data practices change, this Privacy Policy and the Google Play disclosures will be updated as needed.
The updated version will be made available through the privacy policy link in the Google Play listing and, where appropriate, inside the app.
